Karen has over 38 years of nursing experience in community and school health nursing. She is a Certified Reiki Master and certified Pilates and Body Flow instructor.

Karen believes that empowering individuals to actively participate in their health care by giving them tools to achieve their optimum wellness is important in today’s society. Meditation is one of the essential tools. Meditation can lead to a balanced, joyful and purposeful life. It can help one feel focused, relaxed and in control of oneself even in the midst of chaos. Meditation can help heal and promote wellness of the whole person, integrating the mind, body and spirit.

Karen is interested in teaching relaxation, stress reduction through focused awareness and meditation to individuals and small groups in the Southern Maryland area.
