Meditation Specialist : The Training

The Meditation Specialist Competancy Training was developed by Dr. Susan Taylor, as a systematic program to leverage focused awareness and mindfulness for discovering your core balance.  This training program prepares students to learn the skills and utilize those tools to work with specific populations such as cardiovascular disease, pain, cardiovascular disease, anxiety and depressive disorders and is intended to prepare today's professionals to define the entire field of meditation specialization as it evolves into a universally recognized profession.

Graduates will gain the skills, tools and framework for incorporating meditation into their medical practice or for developing a private Meditation Therapy practice. This training program prepares students to work with.

The Competancy training is two retreats each six days in length. The first retreat, students learn the skills to have a personal meditation practice. Those that want to continue and learn skills to teach what they have learned can attend the second retreat.  Attendance at both retreats will teach participants the skills required to enable them to sit for the Naitonal Meditation Specialist™ Board exam and become board certified as a meditation specialists™.  Completion criteria for the certification exam may be found at www.nmsbc.org.
