Getting Motivated When the Fire is Out

Radha Riding Waves

One of the most interesting occurrences that I have noticed is that people are not motivated to work, play or even get through the day. Although people are out of work, there are many that have no desire to do work.  I have heard the comments from several who are looking for work, "I don't feel like doing that". Or "it is not worth my time".  Even though these types of jobs would get them out of their financial situation.  So what is really happening here?  Is it laziness, greed, frustration or a sense of entitlement.  I don't think so.  What I see happening is that people who have experienced some personal and financial setbacks have lost their passion for life.  The fire has gone out.  How did this happen?  Whenever we perceive a setback or that something is "not the way that we want it to happen", we can either move on or we can dwell on it.  Dwelling on this brings sadness and with sadness our eternal fire diminishes.  This year I am dedicated my work to teaching those that want to ignite their fire, keep it blazing and finding ways to tend to it.  The time is here for these teachings.  Without this knowledge life will only appear less and not so perfect.  My first retreat is April 15 - 18th at the Himalayan Institute.  I am planning on starting with the body...how to tend to the fire that makes our body healthy and free of disease.  Join me.
