Meditation Specialist Training Pennsylvania
Hello everyone,
I just returned from Pennsylvania after a wonderful week of meditation and relaxation. This was our third clinic for the meditation specialist training and our theme was relaxation. The group was very enthusiastic and we actually had alot of fun. On Wednesday night we attended Kirtan and had a wonderful time. The food was great at the Himalayan Insititute as well as the people. We are headed back for our fourth clinic in March. Between now and March all have agreed to keep practicing and teaching in their respective communities.

The four days at Honesdale were just what I needed. I have meditated every day since I came home. Doing the demo in front of everybody was just the kick in the butt I needed. Hope all had a safe trip home.

Clinic #3 in Honesdale brought everything together. Their was a very special energy in this clinic. Everyone gave gentle constructive comments on each other's demo. I was very nervous!!!Glad its over and that we did the demo's. It was great to see my collagues various techniques. Now I feel more comfortable going out teaching.

I had a fantastic time at Clinic 3 and I really feel that it cemented the steps in my mind. The practice we did was a great learning experience, and I've had no trouble with my yoga/meditation routine since then. I'm looking forward both to the conference call tonight and Clinic 4 in March. I hope everyone is well.
This last class in PA was the fire under my butt I needed! I have been practicing and teaching my hubby Ron. Getting up in front of everyone was more painful in the waiting for it than the actual doing of it. The small group practice was helpful, you got to hear different language and speaking styles. I am so looking forward to the March class. I miss everyone, and feel like I've known some of you for a very long time. Take care. Namaste, Corlis
Question “how much to charge for teaching meditation” came up a few times during our three clinics. I did find words by Reiki teacher.” In reality, when we are willing to give, but not willing to receive, what we are actually doing is trying to control another”. There suppose to be equal exchange. If I am teaching for free, then my time, knowledge and energy is not worth anything. Person will be willing to pay, if the service is worth the price. Our task is to let people know benefits of meditation (Susan prepared very good tools for this), and, of cause, to do good job teaching.
I had a learning experience in Honesdale at Clinic 3 about the same as others who have commented. I am thinking ahead to Clinic 4, the home stretch. Do we have a phone conference tonight, Jan 7? KAREN
Happy New Year, I have been busy with phisical therapy since just before Christmas for my back. However I still find time almost everyday to sit. I am looking forward to the March class. Lets see what it brings. Corlis
I have found it useful to meditate using one of Susan's tapes at least one time a week. The other times during the week, I am doing the meditation on my own. Listening to the tape occasionally keeps me from missing things. It is also a good confirmation that I am doing the meditation correctly.
