Meditation and the Center Axis

I just returned from a week of teaching and before heading off again I want to bring some light onto the word meditation. Many have expressed to me that they come to class with a perspective as to what meditation is or isn't. After spending the weekend, the most occurring comment is, "I did not know meditation can be fun".

Meditation is a practice that brings benefits to the mind, body, brain and spirit. Through inner study, meditation promotes healing, nourishment and redefinition. We spend most of our lives looking outward to the world for our answers that can only be addressed inwardly. During meditation, we expand our ability to access our center axis where healing, nourishment and the ability to redefine ourselves exists. Meditation allows us to explore our essential nature, restoring the memory of completeness in our lives.

Meditation is about allowing our mind to settle into the quietness and peace that is there for the taking. Behind all of the mind chatter IE. our internal dialogue, is the silence of pure awareness-a silence that is not disturbed by thoughts of the past or concerns of the future. When you enter this space you are in your Center Axis.
